Shashwat Project is a group of four classically trained musicians from different traditions of Indian music. 'Shashwat is the Hindi word for 'Eternal', something timeless and constant. The group aims to blend traditional Indian music with contemporary perspectives, bridging the old and new traditions while keeping the tradition at the core.
The performance will range from the tradition of North Indian Hindustani music to Carnatic music and everything in between. A non-traditional combination of guitar and saxophone, paired with traditional instruments like tabla and vocals, will blend India's diverse musical styles to create a unique performance for the audience.
